Tai has a unique background bridging the worlds of business and personal/spiritual development – someone equally comfortable engaging a board room of executives as she is facilitating experiential journeys of deep, transformational work. She embodies a rare combination of skills and attributes that create the foundation for success as a business leader and consultant – highly attuned and effective relational skills, along with keen strategic vision and the courage to take the bold steps required to propel an organization forward. Her efficacy as a consultant lies in her ability to communicate authentically with all members of an organization, supporting cohesion and buy-in for positive change, resulting in immediate impact and long-term ROI.
Tai's expertise is relationship development and creating cultures of engagement. She spent eight years with Digital Kitchen (DK), a highly respected creative agency, overseeing both Business Development and Recruiting. As Director of New Business, Tai assessed new business engagements and proactively developed aligned partnerships. She prepared, wrote, and pitched capabilities presentations to CMO's, architecture firms, and ad agencies, and successfully landed a $1.8M engagement for experiential media in Ferrari's theme park in Abu Dhabi. After a sabbatical in which she spent time in residence at both a Zen monastery and yoga ashram (and small beach cabin on the remote shores of New Zealand), Tai returned to DK as Recruiting Director to manage talent relationships, reviewing all incoming submissions to the agency, headhunting great talent, developing relationships with top-tier design schools and universities, and overseeing all staffing related project management. Tai also represented the agency at industry and recruiting events, inspiring audiences and sharing the compelling work and culture of DK.
Prior to DK, Tai managed a boutique creative staffing firm, where she served as the bridge between clients and talent – successfully placing talent in freelance and full-time positions with companies including Nordstrom, Microsoft, MSNBC.com, Costco, Brooks Running, and Publicis. She interviewed hundreds of people working in the creative industry and established the small agency's reputation as the most personable, professional, responsive, and preferred staffing partner.
Running parallel to her professional career, Tai has been a longtime student of the great spiritual and wisdom traditions, as well as the nature of emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being. Tai received her Yoga Teacher Certification from the renowned Himalayan Institute, with emphasis on meditation, mindfulness, and philosophy. She has walked the path of the "wounded healer" – rising from over a decade with chronic pain (headaches) and forging a path to vitality when the Western medical system and approach did not work. Tai embodies a depth of presence that's only possible when someone has truly walked the path of personal and spiritual growth, meeting challenges with courage and compassion. She is a fierce, passionate, and compassionate guide in the process of conscious evolution, and is grateful to have arrived in a position where she can inspire the hearts of individuals and organizations to embody their gifts and full potential.
Tai is an artist at heart, and received her B.A. in Fine Art & 3D Computer Animation from Hampshire College.
